My name is Dennis Poeschel and I'm from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. I have had a long interest in Waterfowling, Turkey Hunting and the Great Outdoors. It is these interests that drew me to making calls and carving. It's a great way to stay connected to the spot all year long.

It all started with carving decorative decoys. I had several of my grandfather's decoys in my family room. One day I just said I have to try that. I bought a few books and began my quest. One thing lead to another and soon I was in hook line and sinker. I began entering carving contests and quickly move through the ranks where I was competing on a professional level and winning awards. What I found however that after several years I was carving for the judges and the awards and not myself. I began my interest into calls and used my knowledge of game birds, anatomy and craftsmanship to delve into an area that very few people got involved in. I began making very fancy game calls and carving them in full detail.

I have enjoyed much success for my efforts. I have won numerous Best Of Show awards for all my calls. I am currently the 2002 National Wild Turkey Federation Grand Champion for decorative call making. I was also award the coveted "Champion Of Champion's" award in 2002.
