Triple
Gobble Turkey Calls
Ron
"Corry" Shealer was born and raised in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania.
At an early age he began hunting and fishing with his family and
friends in the fields and streams of Pennsylvania. He was always
building some kind of project at home. This interest led him into
the Industrial Arts program throughout high school and onto a college
degree in Technology Education.
Ron's
first interest in collecting calls, along with an interest in the
outdoors and woodworking destined him to begin making his own line
of turkey calls. Currently he is making lathe turned trumpet style
yelpers, one of the oldest style turkey calls. Only select grades
of domestic and exotic woods are used. Anything questionable goes
in the scrap pile.
Yelpers
are turned and finished using a multi step process that gives a
protective finish that will last a lifetime. Each yelper is precisely
bored and tuned to give a realistic turkey sound. Various mouthpieces
are available for the yelpers to duplicate different age birds.
Each call comes with a lanyard and carrying case. Exhibition grade
cases with art work by Dave Greer are available for the collector.
A two piece "Roanoke River Basin" style call is also available.
This call is a must for any collector. In this call your own personal
wing bone can be used. Contact Ron for more information on this
type call.
Special thanks to Ralph Permar and Dennis
Poeschel for all the tips and advice to make these calls possible.
