Oak
Leaf Game Calls
Over
the years, from before the time of the white man, Indians used a
turkey wingbone to imitate the language of the turkey. Adding this
style of call to your field gear is a great way for you to transcend
time and step back to these earlier days. Once you learn the skills
needed to call on a yelper the results are outstanding. Many believe
this is because so few hunters learn the call and because of this
the turkey is not used to hearing this call in the woods. A quality
yelper is a deadly tool for the serious hunter.
He also has available a push pin slate call,
a gun mounted pull pin call and a crystal call with wingbone tipped
striker and a series of mouth calls. Oak Leafs product line covers
all the bases when it comes to calling in those big Toms. As time
goes on the product
lines will expand to include other turned items and possibly waterfowl
calls. Oak Leaf Game Calls has been in operation now for about six
and one half years. Production has been limited and Roger makes
about 35 custom yelpers a year right now. These low production numbers
make them excellent collectibles.
